Does anyone know where I can get the "screw hole clips" that the stop\tail lights screw on to? One of mine is missing.

Its the tiny plate the screw grips into that is attached to the bodywork. I don't know what you'd call it!

Okay, I took a couple of defenders for a test drive today... Loved them, apart from I really don't think I could live with the "driving a bus" steering. Would fitting a smaller steering wheel help substantially, or does it still steer like a bus with a smaller tiller?

mate as punched hole in his 88 defender 110 front axle casing.
its a 10 spline and the end caps have got short stub on them.
ive got a casing from 94 disco can we swap internals, swivels etc over into it?

My 1996 110 needs a good old service and MOT. Probably needs a few bits doing to it as well. I don't have the time at the moment to sort it myself, so was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good specialist near Leeds, York or Harrogate? How mush does a service generally cost?

Hi all i have looked all over for this could anybody post up some pics of were the brather is on the gear box and timing cover i have done the axels but that is about all i can find it is on a 200tdi 90 any help would be mich appreciated thanks

Any reason I shouldn't use spring washers on the big end cap biolts and main bearing cap bolts?

LR didn't fit them originally, I suppose to save a few pence. I know that a properly torqued bolt shouldn't let go, and there aren't a trail of Landys with dropped bearing caps, but as there is room for these, and for such a critical application I believe in belt and braces, I think I'll fit them. I don't think this should affect the torque settings, but am willing to be corrected!

Been looking around and searching google and the forum. Does anyone have a DIY detail on how to make a DIY snorkel also when connecting it does it go straight to te air filter or do you by pass it or fit one elsewhere? As the existing one I don't feel will be overly water tight

Also homemade vs brought - what would you recommend
