Hi all i have a 1999 TD5 Discovery,Over the last 18 months Ive noticed that the lacquer on the red paint is coming off in big areas on the bonnet,Has any one else had this problem ?? My question do you think i would be better off trying to get another red bonnet from a breakers yard or respraying mine.If i respray mine it would mean trying to get all the lacquer off before trying to spray a grey undercoat then a few coats of cellulose paint on top ,,But to get all that lacquer off my bonnet i think that i would have to practically take it to bare metal.

Sorry guys, I know how badly wheel and tyre threads go down here but only have 2 simple things to ask.
Firstly, how do I find out what width the rims are on my landy. Is it as simple as it sounds by just measuring edge to edge??
Secondly, what is the narrowest rim that I can fit a 285-75 x 16 tyre onto??

I'm good at waxing, well, that's what my wife says...

This afternoon I took advantage of the wife being home all day and gave her 1991 Rover 827 SLi a thorough wash and wax. The wash I used was Turtle Wax (I gave it a jet rinse, one wash, then another rinse, another wash, and a final thorough rinse, gave me a good excuse to try out my new Karcher...) and after that decided to give the old girl a wax.

The wax I used was Migliore Primo Carnauba wax and it worked fantastically.

I used to use Dodo Juice wax but the wife didn't like me spending the money I was for it (my motto is if you have it, spend it, but she said it wasn't morally correct to spend £200 on a can of wax.... So she says with a wardrobe full of hand bags, but I've learned over the many years not to start a fight I'd lose!) so I had to down size.

I have to say though it leaves almost as good a finish as Dodo did.

Can any of you here recommend a good car wax ? I think I'm going to keep buying Migliore Primo now but I'm open to suggestions.

Please can anyone help, I've got a 1990 range rover which I'm putting a series 2a body onto. The range rover braking system (abs type) won't fit with the steering column in it's position.

Will a defender abs system fit the range rover electrics and the 6 brake lines? Or do I need to keep the original range rover servo and accumulator etc if so how do I modify it to suit the series bulkhead?

Any help would be really appreciated!
