Hey guys im law im 21 year old mechanic just bought a 1989 defenser rolling project so far swapped out seats rebuilt head new centre cubby fitted rear seats and half way through chassis spraying. nice to meet you all any input on where to start

Hi guy just bought myself my first landy

its a disco 1 300tdi

i know you all will most properly say i have made a mistake buying a disco but i have bought it as a project got it cheap as chips literally it needs alot of welding done but got a landy specialist on that job for cheap :-D then there is a few little bit that i can do myself

there is one thing I really need and that is a rear trailing arm as one of them has snapped so i was looking to upgrade them to cranked ones

also i could do with some dislocation cones and a 2" spring lift and if i can get them cheap I could do with some upgraded shocks and springs and front radius arms and a steering/sump guard

if any of you could help me that would be great

Hello everybody. I've not long bought a Freelander TD4. It's a nice little thing, 54 plate, 57k in silver with one owner from new. I'd say it's been looked after. It does need a few things sorting, like water in the little boot and well thats about it, although i would like to change the stereo trim. I'm in the north of England in a place called Whitley Bay.

Just thought i best introduce myself from north yorkshire just got a 2.4 tdci 90 and loving it on here to learn some more.

Hi all just joined this forum so I can keep on top of the bairns freeby1 (98)and the wifes freeby2 (08) and hopefully have a laugh along the way, I have a Navara myself, the exploding version :eek:, but I hope you wont hold that against me I was on the freel2 forum for the wifes car for about 20mins after that I began to loose the will to live :D

Hoping to make friends thru this brilliant forum,I've been a land rover nut since about the age of 4 when my dad had a series 2a . I bought a 200tdi disco in oct '11 thinking we were going to have another bad winter , so a disco and a snow shovel insured there would be no snow. It would be nice to pick up some tips and hints as a very old landy and not much money I want to maintain her as much as I can myself. Starting with the underside. That's all for now it must be sleep time.

However with time I will hopefully be able to give back what I get, having spent some 25 years trying to make the damn thing rtun smoothly ..... In fact, I was going to claim I am a Range Rover owner, but suddenly I realize I might be Range Rover owned....

RRC 1990 3.9 Vogue

Hiya everyone.

We are new to the forum. Looking forward to getting lots of advice, information, and give any, if we are able, lol.

We have just purchased a 2000 (W) Disco GS TD5. (Having a issue, posted that on the forum's, somewhere (sorry trying to find our way around :D)

This isn't our first Disco, this is our 5th (we've had 1 300 TDI and the others have been TD5) We had a break for a couple of years from them though (had no need, as we wern't towing a caravan, which is what we've always used them for) so I guess we are learning all over again.

Anyway, we look forward to hearing from everyone :)
